How We Got Started
Eddy and Erwin got their start working at a fire restoration company helping to fix the electrical issues after fire had swept through. As they worked with that company, they realized that they were working on the wrong side of the business: instead of cleaning up, they wanted to help prevent the fires to begin with. Because of this experience, Eddy and Erwin are very focused on safety and fire prevention.
The Start of Fires
Electrical fires originated most commonly in the bedroom, with 14% of all electrical home fires starting there. The next room in the house would be the attic with 12% and then the kitchen with 11%.
The Causes of Fires
Electrical distribution systems cause 48% of all house electrical fires. They tend to be the heat source for the fire to ignite; they will get too hot near something flammable. Electrical distribution systems are things such as:
